What we do

Virginia Evans founded Express Publishing in 1988 with a single mission: to create quality ELT material that she would be able to use in her language school classes. She filled a gap in the market by creating ESL resources that resonated with learners and offered tailored solutions, while keeping the highest standards in language education.

Years later, we still have the same appetite for learning: one book became many books, many books turned into digital resources, and we instituted an immersive model of language instruction that goes beyond repetition, parroting and memorising.

Today, our mission remains: we bridge the gap between educational research and everyday teaching practice by delivering material that drives change, creates opportunity and teaches learners how to make sense of the world, in English.
