#English is a dynamic four-level course designed for learners at CEFR Levels A1-B1. Ideal for educators who embrace Blended or Flipped Learning methodologies, it fosters independent learning and language confidence through captivating content.

Students and teachers will embark on an exciting journey alongside the #CodeCrackers, a group of four young adventurers searching for their archaeology teacher, Mr Watt, who has mysteriously disappeared. A #English Treasure Hunt Game

Inspired by the adventurous story of the book, we propose a treasure hunt game to start off this year by playing and learning! This activity is designed to engage students with their new coursebook in an interactive way while fostering teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

How Does It Work?

Students will search for clues hidden around the classroom and in their #English 1 book, ultimately leading them to the missing Dr Watt! The game lasts approximately 40-45 minutes and introduces students to the book in an entertaining and meaningful way.

Game Highlights:

10 Clues: A mix of brain teasers, maths puzzles, general knowledge questions, and riddles.
A1-B1 Friendly: Clues are designed in a wh-question format with simple vocabulary, ensuring accessibility for all learners.
Interactive & Collaborative: Students work in teams, solving clues step by step.

Before You Begin:

Introduce key vocabulary words to ensure a smooth game experience:

To play the game you have to:

Prepare the Materials:
- Use the #English book or print the free sample pages.
- Download and print the worksheet containing the game instructions and clues.
- Cut out the clues and hide them around the classroom. For example:
  - Place Clue #3 under a chair.
  - Place Clue #4 under the teacher’s desk.
Form Teams:
- Divide the class into two groups.
- Hand out the game worksheets.
Start the Hunt!
- Teams solve each clue to move forward.
- The first team to find Dr Watt wins!

Bonus Motivation:

To boost engagement, offer a small prize for the winning team—stickers, certificates, or even a round of applause can make all the difference!
