Frankfurt 2009
Meet us there!

T

he Frankfurt Book Fair is not only the world’s largest trade fair for books and multimedia products, but also one of the world’s oldest book fairs.

The first Frankfurt book fair took place in 1480 on the Romerberg, soon after Johannes Gutenberg invented the printing press in nearby Mainz, and was Europe’s most important book fair until the end of the 17th century. The fair was revived in 1949 and quickly established its prominence as the biggest event on the international publishing calendar. In 2006, there were 7,272 exhibitors from 113 countries, and more than 183,000 trade visitors.

The 61st Frankfurt Book Fair, from 14-18 October 2009, promises to be bigger than ever. Express Publishing, one of the world’s leading publishers of EFL materials, will naturally be there as usual. Express authors Virginia Evans and Jenny Dooley will be in attendance, together with top company executives, who look forward to meeting established and potential clients alike.

The newest key focus of the 2009 Frankfurt Book Fair is “Creative Content”. Conceived for all professionals whose work is linked both to publishing and other creative industries, this is the place for out-the-box ideas and new partnerships for pioneering the digital future.

Those who are familiar with Express Publishing products will be aware that creative and innovative content is reflected in our rapidly growing range of books, multimedia materials and state-of-the-art software for Interactive Whiteboards.

If you would like to meet us and discuss our range of English language teaching materials, we invite you to visit us at Stand D 949 in Hall 8.0, which is reserved for English language publishers.
